The aim of the PB Lymphological Awards was-is to promote the scientific quality of the presentations given during the ESL meetings.
From 2007 to 2019, members of the ESL Scientific Committee proposed to Prof. Pierre BOURGEOIS a list of (oral as well as poster) presentations that caught their attention based on their originality and scientific qualities (the money came from the personal funds of Prof Bourgeois).
The list of nominees and financial rewards is given thereafter.
These (oral as well as poster) presentations were-are selected on the basis of
- the originality and interest of the subject,
- the quality of the abstract,
- the quality of the (oral or poster) presentation,
- the interest given to the presentation by the members of the assembly and
- the quality of the questions raised during the following discussion.
These presentations were-are nominated during the Highlights of the Meeting by Prof P Bourgeois, President of the ESL Scientific Committee.
The names of the nominees with the tittle of their presentation were / are / will be published in the EJLRP and on the ESL Web-site.
The nominees were and are invited to publish their presentation as full paper in EJLRP within the year following the meeting.
When their presentation has been published as full paper in the EJLRP, a monetary prize of maximum 1000 Euros will be / was / is officially given to the PB Lymphological Award winner(s) during the ESL meeting following their selection.
Points in the rules of the Prize
- If several of the selected nominated works are published, the amount of the prize will be divided among the nominees.
- For presentation as a poster, at least one author must be present during the discussion of their work.
- The same group with the same subject cannot be selected two consecutive years.
